Found these remains at the lake last weekend. I think it’s a cicada, but feel free to correct me!

    hey Jen
    It`s the shedded skin of a cicada, when they morph from a nymph to an adult, didnt u guys do science in highschool LOL
    Anyhow how are you? I ended up deleting my blogs. Stuff going on, i just lost interest, lack of time, blah blah

    I’ve never seen one. We don’t get those in New Orleans, but my cousin in Maryland has told me about them. They are ugly, aren’t they! But cool to see it in a picture. Thanks for sharing…

    Yep, I used to love finding those things when I was a kid. You know, for studying purposes.
    I still think they’re cool. My son and I found one at a campground this year.
